Pom-pom Pumpkin Magic

Is it a pumpkin pie? Pumpkin soup? Noooo! It’s a pumpkin pom-pom!

Can you imagine anything more orange than a Halloween pumpkin?
With a little bit of wool and a tiny little twig you can make the most magical pumpkin ever! You can even make your own magical pumpkin family! You can make it in any size you want. And as many as you want.

So do you want to know how to do it?

Ok! First here’s what you’ll need:

*orange wool
*green thread or little stripe of fabric or felt
*a pair of scissors
*a wood stick
*your magic hands
*aaand the help of an adult for a detail here and there

To start off this magical adventure,

1* You’ll need to run as fast as you can into the nearest woods, or beach or backyard or street and collect the most amazingly shaped sticks you can find.

2*Then it’s super orange pom-pom time! Maybe you want to ask the help of an adult for this one. To make your pompon, close your four fingers (except Tommy Thumb) and wrap the wool around them. The more wool you wrap, the fluffier the pompom gets! And you can never have enough of fluffiness, right? Remember to leave the wool a little bit loose, because you’ll need it for your next step! When your fingers are completely covered in orange, slip the wool off of your fingers and lay it on a flat surface.

Take a big piece from the wool ball – and tie it around the center of you pom-pom. Ask an adult to help you tie a knot. Then cut the edges of the pom-pom and open it up. If you want, you can trim off the pom-pom a little bit. And give it a cool haircut!

3* Then, take your fantastic twig and stick it in the middle of the pom-pom

4* To complete your super orange magical pumpkin, take the little piece of green thread and tie a lace around the little twig.
And voilá!
Now you can choose a special place to put you pumpkin. Try different colors and sizes. Wasn’t it fun?
Until next time,
May all your dreams come true!

Children are catalysts of expansion

If there are beings who are here to transform us, to expand our perception, those beings are children. Children as a whole. And each one of them. Individually. If we can understand that, if we are willing to accept this as a fact, that’s a whole different challenge. However this does not invalidate this truth. Children are catalysts of expansion. But in order for them to do their job well, children need to have conscious adults by their side. Adults that accept them. Who respect them. Even if one can’t fully understand how children express themselves, how they feel or live, they can nourish from the most important point. From the fundamental root. We feel frustrated when we can’t   understand our children. In the middle of an emotional marasmus, it seems that we can only see what’s on the surface. Our autopilot takes charge. We react. We turn to what we’ve   learned through our own growth. To our references. To our perceptions. We see and interpret with our adult e...

We all need different things

We all need different things. For example, I need my pens and my    child needs them to build rockets. All of them. I need my computer to edit my articles and my son needs to see documentaries about building engines. At the same time as I need to work. Too often situations like this can become a dilemma. Or a source of conflict. However, as a responsible adult, it’s up to me to choose whether I want to turn this moment into a power struggle. Or simply stop, look at the grand plan of things for a second - instead of reacting immediately - and decide in consciousness. Does this mean that children have no limits? No. But it does mean that the boundaries must be passed quietly, based on empathy, on connection. By saying simple sentences like: ·       I'm listening. You’d   like ... But it will not be possible ... because ·       I wish I could ...   ·       How can we do it? · ...
